Downstairs
Enter the house through the boot room which is papered with OS maps of the area showing all the great walks in the area.. This is the roon to hang coats, leave boots and the best place for the dog beds. The downstairs loo is just off to the right.
This boot room leads into the oak-floored open-plan hub of this lovely house. Complete with wood burning stove, deep, comfy sofas, the dining table and a Welsh dresser which doubles up as a very useful cocktail bar and there’s a dedicated drinks fridge. The kitchen is just off this room, equipped with everything you will need to cater for your stay, two ovens, large gas hob, microwave, coffee machine, large fridge freezer. There is an additional fridge and freezer and washing machine and dryer in the Plant Room.
This central area leads into the TV/sitting room on one side: with its huge TV, books, board games, jigsaws and comfy sofas - it is the perfect place to relax. There is also a desk overlooking the garden. Buzzards has really good Wifi.
On the left of the 'hub', is the conservatory, a warm and sunny place to read, to relax, play games and listen to the Little Dart diver gently flowing past.
The house has French windows onto the South Facing veranda, which gives a lovely 'inside outside' sense of space.

Upstairs
Buzzards has 5 double bedrooms. Lovely rooms with pretty designer curtains, white Soak and Sleep linen and fabulously comfy beds. – All bar 1 (the Barbar twin) overlook the main garden.
Two bedrooms have super-king Beds, 1 has a king size bed and there are two rooms configured as Twin rooms (although 1 of these is ‘zip & link’).In addition we have two pull out style beds which are suitable for children and a cot.
There are 3 bathrooms upstairs, 1 has a large roll topped bath tub and shower, the others have lovely walk-in showers.

Outside
Buzzards House has a lovely veranda running all along its South side. It gives the house a lovely holiday-feel as it is such a great suntrap and a very convivial place for outside living, for barbecues, sundowners and somewhere just to chill and relax and overlook the gorgeous garden. There is a BBQ and fire pit. There is also a large hot tub, suitable for seven people, at the far end.
There are lots of games to keep everyone entertained; ping pong, badminton, croquet, a football net, boules, but also the garden is a fun place to be.
A little wooden bridge takes you into a wild and wonderful orchard with butterflies, wildflowers and birdlife with the Little Dart River running through it. Children can spend hours here-simply messing about in the river, building dams, catching little fish, rampaging up the tracks between the fruit trees. There’s an extra hammock and another fire pit and picnic tables and a footpath through the wood at the far end of this orchard.

Garden & Orchards
Buzzards is in such a wonderful spot, nestled in the valley with the Little Dart River running through the grounds. The woods add great places to explore, but the garden itself is a fun place to be with its lovely trees, flower beds, rhododendrons, pond and paths.
There is a Croquet set, Badminton set, Ping pong table, Football net and Boules.
There are orchards on both sides of the house which are a mass of blossom in the Spring and weighed down by fruit in the Autumn - please help yourself to apples.
On the Southern side you cross the little bridge in the garden and the orchard is in front of you - we have put picnic tables and a fire pit near the deepest part of the river. Children love to play Swallows and amazons type games here.
Beyond the tables there is a narrow path through the woods which comes out on the lane by Worthy bridge- the Pooh sticks bridge. If you turn left over the bridge and up the hill you come to Huntland Wood which wends its way back towards Buzzards Wood.
Due to the unfenced ponds, children and pets must be supervised in the garden at all time.
